Back when we were touring extensively with Sojourn at Ararat, many of you bought the cassette (if you are asking what's that? It is an old form of CD on tape), but your copy must be worn out by now, and full of distortion and static. Many of you also bought the book that is now out of print...
So we remixed the sound, published the audio CD (see below) and are printing the book again so you can share it with your friends old and new.
You may order either or both here and we will ship it straight to your mail box.
Don't worry, we are a secured site and your information is safe with us.
All you need to do is order and... ENJOY!
This audio CD is the original English version cast recording of the full length play Sojourn at Ararat with the voices of its creator/ performers Nora Armani and Gerald Papasian.
The recording was made at Jon Sound in Los Angeles with award-winning sound engineer Jon Gottlieb, and the audio post-production/ digital remastering was made by Avo Aroutiounian in Los Angeles.
The CD insert has full annotations of the titles, the poets and their birth and death dates, the translators and where the play was performed in the English and French versions. It also lists the awards it has garnered.
It makes the perfect Christmas (or all around) present for your Armenian, non- Armenian and non-Armenian speaking friends.
Sample some of the tracks here and purchase by paying through Paypal or Amazon.
This is the book of the poems used in Sojourn at Ararat, edited by Gerald Papasian,. The book was published after the show was created, since many of you asked to read the poems in their entirely. So, instead of publishing the play in dialogue form as performed, we put together this collection of poems and arranged them in the order in which they appear in the play with full annotation on the poets and translators to enable you to enjoy the complete works.
The book was initially a limited edition of 500, but soon went out of print. Currently only a few of the second reprint of 1000 are left that we are gladly making available to you here until the new reprint.
The cover design depicts the portraits of the poets whose work is featured in Sojourn at Ararat and is designed by sculptor Onnig Kardash.
This is a rare singed copy. If you prefer to wait for the new reprinted version, let us know and we will reserve your copy for $20.00 plus shipping costs.
Thank you for your past support and current interest in Sojourn at Ararat and Armenian poetry through the ages.
